The Vision Community Development Corporation (VCDC) will be designed to provide supportive services through offering counseling, 1 on 1 youth mentors to children of prisoners, youth runaways, youth in foster care, and victims of violent crimes. This particular part of the program will focus on building a positive self-image.

We will also provide rehabilitation to adults who have been incarcerated by reconnecting them to their children through reunification and becoming functioning members of society by providing them with skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency. The other group of people that will receive rehabilitation services are those adults who are at-risk below the poverty level.

The program is designed to provide Family Social Service through emergency food and clothing, referrals to free health centers, and economic development.

Vision Community Development will provide emergency food assistance through our church food bank as well as teaming with other food banks and agencies. We will continue to hold canned food drives and have people donate meals to families on the holidays and provide clothing to those who are in need of it through clothing donations from congregational members and people throughout the community.

The corporation will provide Economic Development through:

b. Financial Success Courses

i. Involving how to save earned income even if you are just making ends meet.

ii. How to Spend Money Wisely

iii. First Time Home Ownership courses

At the end of the year, the Vision Community Development Corporation will provide follow-up's with participants through case management.
